Who Is The Mahdi Of Islam, Is he the Antichrist?
NS 39
Important!!!
We now have a man who claims he is the Mahdi. Let me make this clear, the Mahdi is not the Antichrist. This man bodly declared himself the successor of Jesus Christ. The Bible has the
Antichrist
figure and Islam has the
Mahdi
and the
Dajjal
. The Dajjal is very similar to the Christains Antichrist figure mentioned in the Bible. Is this man the real deal or just another nut job? If you read the scriptures you would know, he is not the Mahdi. If he really was, then we would be closer than ever to the return of Jesus. Many Christains believe he is the Antichrist. His name is Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq.

Forehead: Broad and prominent

A Hadith from the Prophet ﷺ said:
The
Mahdi
and the
Antichrist
are very different figures. The Mahdi (in Islamic belief) is a righteous, divinely guided leader who will appear near the end of time to restore justice, defeat oppression, and prepare the world for the return of Jesus (Isa). Muslims believe the Mahdi is a good leader, not a false one. He is not a prophet, but a just ruler.

The
Antichrist
(called Al-Masih ad-Dajjal in
Islamic
texts) is a deceiver and an evil figure. He will claim to be divine, perform false miracles, and lead people astray before ultimately being defeated by Jesus (Isa) when he returns.
The
Mahdi
restores justice and leads people to the truth and helps prepare people for Jesus return but does not believe he is Gods son. He will not know he is the Mahdi growing up. He does not claim to be the Mahdi by himself. Allah will guide him suddenly — meaning, he will be "prepared and corrected" in a single night by Allah’s command.
The
Antichrist
spreads deception and evil, he is the false messiah and is killed by Jesus.

Final Major Signs unfold...
What the Mahdi Will Believe About Jesus
A great prophet (one of the greatest).
The Messiah (Al-Masih), meaning "Anointed One."
Born of the Virgin Mary (Maryam) by a miracle.
NOT
the literal "Son of God" (Islam denies that God has a son).
NOT
divine himself — just a prophet, not God.
The Mahdi believes in Jesus — but only as a prophet, not Son of God.
Christianity teaches that rejecting Jesus as Son of God is serious.
Therefore, Christians see the Mahdi with caution, even though he fights evil.
What Christains Believe About Jesus
Jesus is the Son of God.
Jesus is also fully God and fully man (divine nature).
Born of the Virgin Mary by a miracle.
Belief in Jesus as the Son of God is essential for salvation.
Here Is The Tension
Islamic
Mahdi's
belief
Jesus (Isa) Prophet and Messiah, but NOT divine
Does not worship Jesus
Salvation is through following God's law and Muhammad's teaching
Christains
belief
Jesus, Son of God, Savior and Divine
Does worship Jesus
Salvation through faith in Jesus death and resurrection
Why This Matters For End Times
The Mahdi will be considered a good guy in Islamic prophecies — but from a Christian point of view, he would be denying the true divinity of Jesus, which is dangerous.
Some Christian scholars warn that the Mahdi could be part of the deception (even unintentionally) — because he will lead millions to reject Jesus’ divine nature.
The Mahdi might act like the False Prophet, unknowingly leading people away from worshiping the true Jesus.
But in Islamic belief, the Mahdi is actually preparing for Jesus’ return — and when Jesus returns, he will correct everything.
Super Deep Point
Even in Islamic Hadiths, Jesus returns and corrects misunderstandings
Jesus will come back and break the crosses (symbolically ending false beliefs about him).
Jesus will kill the Dajjal.
Jesus will rule the world with perfect justice — but as a servant of God, not as God Himself in Islamic view.
Islam View On What Happens To The Mahdi in the End?
The Mahdi will rule with justice for several years.
When Prophet Jesus descends, the Mahdi will hand leadership over to him.
Jesus will lead the prayers (Salah), symbolizing the unity of all true believers.
After that, the Mahdi’s mission will be complete, and he will pass away naturally.
Simple Summary
The Mahdi believes in Jesus — but only as a prophet, not Son of God.
Christianity teaches that rejecting Jesus as Son of God is serious.
Therefore, Christians see the Mahdi with caution, even though he fights evil.
